Introductory course includes machining theory, demonstrations and shop experience. Basics in safety, blueprint reading, layout, band sawing, machine setup, lathe work, milling machine work, surface grinding. Machine theory and machine application comply with National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) Level I Machining Skill Standards.
