MATH 095 - MATH LIT FOR COLLEGE STUDENT
095 MATH LITERACY FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS Fall, Spring, Summer 4(4-0) Math Literacy for College Students is a one semester transitional studies math course integrating numeracy, proportional reasoning, algebraic reasoning, and functions. Students will develop conceptual and procedural tools that support the use of key mathematical concepts in a variety of contexts. Throughout the course, college success content will be integrated with mathematical topics. Credit earned does not count toward any degree. Upon successful completion of the course, students may take Quantitative Reasoning (Math 123), or Intermediate Algebra (Math 122). Prerequisite: MATH 090 or a Compass pre-algebra score of 40 and NGQA 230 Co-requisite: MATH 095A required if NGQA below 230
